My journey into jewelry-making began after taking a crocheted necklace class in the fall of 2024 at my local yarn shop. As someone who has enjoyed knitting for years, I was instantly hooked. I now create crocheted bracelets and necklaces, as well as stretchy bracelets, chain bracelets/necklaces and earrings.

In December 2024, my growing bead collection and creative ideas led me to open an Etsy shop. I named it Amy G Handmade Accessories in memory of my mom. Growing up, there were always several Amys in my class, so I was always “Amy G.” My mom lovingly continued to call me that for years—“Hey, Amy G!”—and it felt like the perfect name for this creative venture.

Jewelry-making and knitting accessories has become a joyful way to unwind and express myself outside of my day job as a teacher. I often start a piece by choosing a bead that catches my eye and build the design around it. I love mixing materials and textures to create jewelry that’s casual enough for everyday wear, but with a touch of whimsy and sparkle.

Each piece is thoughtfully designed to highlight the unique beauty of the beads I use—ranging from natural gemstones and glass to wood, metal, and vintage finds. Thank you for supporting my work and for being part of this journey with me!
